Honor Council
Honor Council Program (Application)
The OAMJHSC State Honor Council award program will give special recognition to those schools that have designed exemplary programs for their junior high/middle Student Councils. “Exemplary” is defined as participating in OAMJHSC programs and sponsoring activities in each of the areas listed below.
To be eligible for this award, schools must have a minimum of 5 points in the
OAMJHSC Participation category and must complete 7 projects, at least one in each of the other categories. A screening committee will review all applications.
Projects may or may not be accepted.
In addition, to be eligible for this award, schools must submit an article to the
OAMJHSC Spring Newsletter. The article and a picture should be e-mailed to the Executive Director at larryr@okstuco.com and the school’s State Honor Council application should be mailed or faxed to the Executive Director by October 1st.
Any school, which according to the decision of the screening committee fulfills the above requirements, will receive the Honor Council award. A school receiving the Honor Council award for the first time will receive an engraved plaque.
Plaques will be awarded at the following Fall Convention.
